New Mount Washington Panoramics

Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at 11:07 am

On March 16, 2010 I skinned up Wildcat to photograph the east side of Mount Washington before the spring thaw came. While it wasn’t a perfectly clear sunrise, there was some nice dawn light and alpenglow. Here are two panoramics I created from photos taken that morning. They both show the main features of Mount Washington’s east side; from left to right are the Gulf of Slides, Tuckerman Ravine, and Huntington Ravine.

Pre Sunrise:

Photo Details: 5 individual photos merged in Photoshop, Canon 5D on tripod w/ EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens @ 90mm, 1/40s @ f/4 and ISO 200.

Very cool pictures~ You should submit to NH tourist publications to see if they’ll purchase for next years travel pamphlets.
