Does camping get much better than this? This is the spot where I spent a week in August 2006 in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. This is the Deep Lake area and that’s Haystack Mountain. On the right side of the face is a 4th class descent route called the Grassy Goat Path. The tall central part of the face contains a couple climbs called the Major Dihedral and Minor Dihedral.

Photo Details: Nikon D70 on tripod w/ 18-70mm at 18mm, 30s at f/13 and ISO 200 w/ +1 exposure compensation, light source is a headlamp.

Grand Teton National Park

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

This is a pretty average landscape photo, but you’ll have to excuse me because I was trying to catch a flight out of KJAC. Looking through photos from September 2008, I came across this series and finally stitched together the panoramic.
