Presidential Range Sunset, Rime, and Undercast

Things have been a little quiet around here, but I want to change that. Introducing Photo Of The Day, I’m going to make an attempt to post a new photo every day. It might be a photo from my archive or it could be a photo taken minutes before the post. I’d love to hear comments about the photos; whether it’s a critique or you have a question.

I’m going to start with a photo taken during the winter of 2000, which is the year I would consider the start of my photography career. This photo was taken just below the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. It’s a sunset view of rime coated cairns and the Northern Presidentials. The main visible summits are (L to R) Mount Clay, Mount Jefferson, and Mount Adams.

Photo Details: I can’t remember specifics, but this was taken with a Nikon film camera and most likely some type of Fuji slide film.
